RIT Score Chart
Here is a chart that summarizes the scores by grade level. You read the chart by looking at the correct column (spring or fall), and finding the score. Then use the SD (Standard Deviation) to determine the range of scores. For example, the score for a 12th grader in reading in the fall is 223.80. To find the range, you add and subtract the SD given:
223.80 - 19.32 = 204.48
223.80 + 19.32 = 243.12
Grade 12 National Reading Average score range: 204.48 - 243.12
